IGS conducts Market Strategy Reviews to help investors and company executives evaluate market trends and opportunities, choose among strategic alternatives, clarify an existing strategy in preparation for additional investment or sale, and benchmark their performance relative to the competition. Representative issues addressed include:

  • What do we do well and where are we vulnerable?
  • Why did we miss our numbers?
  • Has there been a shift in channel or competitor share?
  • How do we best realize our investment in this business?
The process for a strategy review is highly customized to meet the needs of the client but generally includes:
  • Interviewing clients to confirm key strategic issues
  • Gathering relevant public and proprietary market data
  • Analyzing key issues
  • Interacting with the management team as appropriate
  • Facilitating a review of findings and developing an action plan as appropriate
Timing varies based on scope and client requirements but is typically between 4 and 6 weeks.
